About me
Hey hi hello, I'm Madeline (she/her), a twenty-seven year old woman from the midwest US. I'm a fan of literature, art, music, and video games. In addition, I like writing about and creating those things, with varying levels of quality.
Games: I have a Backloggd that shows some of my favorites, but in general, I love games with player-imagined stories, high skill ceilings, and just general Charisma™.
Literature: I love 19th and 20th century novels, especially from modernist authors like Joyce and Beckett, as well as literary criticism. I also very much like poetry but sadly haven't dug into it much yet.
Music: I love me some techno (particularly Detroit and dub), 20th century classical (Morton Feldman is a particular fav), and jazz. But I'll honestly listen to anything if it's good.
Some fun facts about me:
- I am autistic and trans 😎
- Despite my standoffish writing, I'm a huge softie and love cute things and will squee about them. Examples include lolita fashion and cats. I alternate very rapidly between femme and butch, as you can imagine......
- I'm a software engineer in the real world!
- I would love to make my own game sometime, and I have a very good idea of what it would be like...but I am tired and that's a lot of work :(
- This body text uses a variant of Garamond, which I think is the most beautiful typeface ever created.
